Efficient land utilisation for solar energy projects
Ground-mounted photovoltaic systems can be installed on a variety of surfaces. The most suitable sites are grassland or cropland that is disadvantaged from an agricultural point of view or along motorways and railway lines.
Also suitable are so-called conversion areas, e.g. former military areas or animal breeding facilities.
We lease suitable areas for photovoltaic systems from around 15 ha in size throughout Germany, France, Finland, Poland, Greece, Austria and South Africa.
Holistic project development for solar parks and PV solutions
Each of our photovoltaic projects begins with a detailed analysis. In addition to a comprehensive site assessment and a realistic profitability calculation, we consider how and where the generated energy can best be fed into the public grid.
As a result of the analysis, we develop a customised concept for the location. In doing so, we consider the latest technologies as well as nature conservation and the involvement of local residents.
We take care of species protection reports, involvement of the authorities and the entire urban land-use planning process with the municipality, and ultimately the building permit. In addition, we take on the contract management, the coordination with all project participants and are your point of contact in all phases of the project.
We support you throughout the construction process, from the groundbreaking ceremony to the commissioning, and we keep an eye on the entire project for you at all times, on schedule and on budget, professionally and always available.
Remuneration with EEG: The Renewable Energy Sources Act guarantees fixed remuneration for solar energy generated over a period of 20 years. The prerequisites for this are the construction of the PV system on an EEG area and successful participation in a tender issued by the Federal Network Agency.
Remuneration without the Renewable Energy Sources Act: Electricity from photovoltaics is now so cheap to generate that it is economically viable even without EEG funding. Power purchase agreements (PPAs) are used to market the electricity freely through regional energy suppliers or directly to industrial customers. The advantage of this is greater acceptance and fewer restrictions on the choice of location.
Technical operation: We monitor your plant, control and check maintenance measures and, in the event of a fault, ensure that it is rectified as quickly as possible. Thanks to the smooth connection to the network control centre, we ensure maximum plant availability around the clock.
Commercial management: We take care of all commercial matters related to your plant: revenues, accounting, contracts, insurance, profitability forecasts and much more. Simple. Personal. All-round carefree.

Challenges in the project – no problem!
Expansion of the Thöringswerder Ost solar park, Wriezen
We expanded an existing solar park by 2.1 MWp on the site of a former sugar factory. The massive top layers and cavities in the soil posed a particular challenge. In some cases, the foundation posts had to be drilled and filled with concrete instead of being driven as usual.
Ultimately, however, the solar park was built as planned and, over the next few years, its 3,132 photovoltaic modules will supply a good 600 households with green electricity.

Communities and their citizens benefit from a solar park both financially and in other ways. This ranges from various participation models, to the commissioning of regional companies for construction and operation, to a tourism concept. Specifically, the local community can receive direct financial compensation through trade tax revenues, a non-earmarked payment under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG §6) and, if applicable, also through lease income.
However, there are even more possibilities, such as the implementation of a charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, nature conservation projects or even the local supply with our own affordable electricity product, eqSTROM.

Project duration: From the first area analysis and the conclusion of a lease, it takes a good two to three years to commission the fully constructed photovoltaic system. A significant part of this is taken up by the urban land-use planning and the subsequent building permit procedure.
In the case of partial privileges in accordance with the BauGB, the project duration can be significantly reduced as there is no need for urban land-use planning.
